An Indiana native, Christina McClain was born and raised in the Indianapolis area prior to attending Depauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. While, at Depauw, Christina studied Bio-Chemistry, and following her graduation, she obtained her EMT license. During this time, Christina decided to embark upon a career in medicine, and patient care, by attending graduate school at Butler University for Physician Assistant Studies.
Christina proudly graduated number one in her class from the Butler University PA program in May 2013, and began her career working in the medical specialty of gastroenterology. Christina eventually developed a desire to work in orthopedics and spine, and has since joined the American Health Network Orthopedic Bone/Spine group in the fall of 2015. Christina now works for Dr. Praveen Perni in the field of orthopedic spine medicine, where she values providing post- operative care to spine patients, and assisting Dr. Perni in surgeries.
In her time away from the practice, Christina enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
